1. The Ghanalance Principle & Platform Role
Ghanalance operates strictly as a skills, profession, and service discovery platform designed to connect individuals and corporate clients with independent Ghanaian professionals, artisans, and tradespeople.
Ghanalance does NOT:
- Process payments or hold escrow funds between clients and professionals.
- Take any percentage cut or commissions from completed work (0% commission).
- Control how much professionals or artisans charge for their services.
- Act as an employer, agency, or contractor.
- Guarantee employment or contract delivery.
2. Direct Contracts & Client Responsibility
The client and the professional handle all job specifications, written agreements, delivery timelines, and financial settlements directly. Clients are strongly encouraged to inspect completed physical work and verify quotes prior to disbursing final mobile money or cash payments.
3. Trust, Badges & Verification Limitations
Verification badges (such as the Work & Client-Vouched Pro Badge or Registrar General RGD Business Badge) confirm that the professional has verified active craftsmanship through genuine work portfolio audits and two confirmed client references. Ghanalance does not collect sensitive national ID cards. Verification does not imply an employment relationship or absolute warranty of future performance.
4. Subscriptions & Payments (MTN MoMo, Telecel, Card)
Free accounts (GH₵0) remain free indefinitely. Optional subscriptions (Individual Premium at GH₵49/mo or Business Premium at GH₵119/mo) provide enhanced search ranking, discovery badges, and unlimited proposal leads. Subscription payments are processed securely via registered Bank of Ghana-licensed gateways (Paystack) and are non-refundable once activated for the monthly cycle.
5. Community Code of Conduct & Moderation
Professionals and businesses must provide accurate representation of their skills and licenses. Ghanalance reserves the right to suspend or remove profiles reported for fraudulent activities, impersonation, or deceptive pricing upon review by our Trust & Safety team.
6. Pro Referral Program & 10% Recurring Discount
Registered talents who refer a new professional using their personalized link receive a 10% discount applied to their single next recurring monthly subscription billing cycle upon the referred user's successful paid Pro activation. In accordance with platform policy, referral discounts do not stack in a single month; additional successful referrals automatically queue for consecutive subsequent monthly billing cycles. Self-referrals and circular signup schemes are strictly prohibited.
